Melodies: Homeland Edition

There are songs that seem to hold longitude and latitude; that when I hear them I am swept up and carried home. Living up in the northwest has been glorious, but I miss the oak trees, the sunshine, the sea, and the land that John Steinbeck wrote about. These are songs that I used to drive through back roads with, songs that joined me as I danced in the kitchen doing my saturday afternoon chores. This is my own personal compilation of home, for if home could sing, this music is what would come out of its mouth. Homeland by Julie Babka on Grooveshark
